Infected sabaceous cyst

50 yrs old male came to opd with complaints of swelling, pain and discharge at right lumbar region.... swelling was painless since 2 years now started discharge and tenderness since 2 days.... not a diabetic.... kindly share your opinion... infected sabaceous cyst?

this is infected sabaceous cyst....and it was treated by removing the sac and the suture was removed .patient is stable

Yes it infected sebaceous cyst, as punctum well seen Go for one course of broad spectrum antibiotic and anti inflammatory Ang see for any resolution or not if any resolution cont antibiotic for 5-7 days . Hope there are two cysts , if no resolution and abscess formation is there drain out the pus by putting incision and plan for excision later on.

Swellings seen with punctum are sebaceous cyst which are infected and turned as abscess which are discharging
