Breakfast skipping is independent life style habit that is associated with persistently arterisl stiffness and atherosclerosis in patients with Type 2 DM. Skipping breakfast results in 1) increased body weight. 2) Unhealthy eating habits 3) Persistently increased Brachial ankle pulse wave velocity ( bapwv). Skipping breakfast is independent risk factor for bapwv and arterial stiffness and atherosclerosis. 4) High blood pressure 5) High cholesterol 6) Diabetes 7) Obesity. 8) Heart disease. 9) Skipping breakfast can throw off body's regular rhythm of fasting and eating. Brain and muscles of our body need blood sugars when you wake up which will be low when you skip your breakfast. Breakfast helps to replenish it. If you don't eat it, you aren't likely to get all of nutrients your body needs. 10) People who skip breakfast are more prone to develop Unhealthy habits like smoking, alcohol, and excercise less according to some research studies. 11) Body metabolism slows down. 12) Stress hormones increases.
