D/d Congenital euplis of newborn Granular cell tumor Check whether the mass is sessile or pedunculated What is the consistency Check presence of more such tumor else where in mouth Usually these type of tumours regress by itself If not so than surgical intervention must be done As the tumour may cause problems in breast feeding and respiration

Coz it occurred on the floor of the mouth it is.. Ranulas type mucoceles. It usually involve the major salivary glands. Specifically, the ranula originates in the body of the sublingual gland, in the ducts of Rivini of the sublingual gland, and, infrequently from the minor salivary glands at this location.. Simple drainage of the fluid collection rarely permanently fixes the problem as the diseased gland continues to leak saliva. Traditionally, open surgical procedures drain the ranula and remove the diseased gland through an incision in the mouth or under the chin.
