Subconjunctival haemorrhage is also called as chemosis is due to injury, or severe strain like whooping cough, here the corneo scleral junction is clear, usually it subcides over a period and needs local cold compression, and analgesics, if it is prolonged, phlictenular kerato conjunctivitis to be ruled out which is due to tuberculin allergy.
