Sudden painless permanent blurred vision

A 82 y/o male came with a 2-week history of sudden painless permanent blurred vision in his right eye. Left eye is totally fine. He had a history of arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, and atrial fibrillation treated with antihypertensive drugs and statins, and was a former smoker. Can you diagnose the cause? what should be the treatment plan?
