DM & Indigestion

53/y/o man with K/C/O type 2 diabetes from past 4 years has come with issue of indigestion from past 2 months because of his allopathic medication which he had been taking from past 4 years. There is on-off constipation & incomplete evacuation even after taking triphala or castor oil On the physical examination, BMI of 31.0 kg/m2 Bp-of 128/78 mmHg. His laboratory values revealed HbA1c levels of 8.2%, FBS 126 mg/dL, Total cholesterol of 225 mg/dL, Triglycerides of 375 mg/dL, HDL of 27 mg/dL, and LDL of 144 mg/dL. Needs physical activity as Dr. Anushka goel ji has stated also warm water will help to evacuate bowels as Dr. D. P. Singhji has stated. The more laxatives he will take the more constipation he is bound to suffer. Advise to eat leafy vegetables and fibrous food along with sufficient water intake. Also agree with Dr. Maharaj kumar ji.

Rx 1. Start with Kiofiber Tab and high fiber diet, gradually reducing the use of kiofiber Tab, consume luke warm water. 2. Mild cardio will also be of great help.

Dear Dr. Kiran Mahajan, Advice for the case. Eranda Bhrasta Haritaki Churna 1 tsp with 1 1/2 glass of water at bed time. Advice for walking slowly after meal for at least 30 minutes.
