Tinea Faciei

20 years old male with recurrent Tinea Faciei. His condition has aggravated during covid times with constant use of facial mask . Aim of this presentation is that Tinea infection has become, now quite common and more and more patients are becoming resistant to oral antifungals Hence- we should now use a combination od antifungals in such cases

It is a clear cut case of Tinea Faciei it is not ACD as many of the doctors have suggested. If one looks at the picture - closely on forehead- one can clearly see the peripheral spreading lesion of Tinea in a circinate pattern . Since- lot of topical steroids have been used- skin looks more fair and skin is also thinned out Also diagnosis is confirmed- when patient says - that when ever he takes oral antifungals- lesions subside. But he had never taken complete treatment- so had recurrence of Tinea faciei- which may be now preferably called Tinea incognito after prolonged use of topical steroids- which confuses the diagnosis
