ACUTE PHARYNGITIS TT SALINE GARGALES AVOID HOT SPICY FOOD AZITHROMYCINE 500.MG ONE OD FOR 5 DAYS VIC C 500MG ONE TAB OD FOR 10 DAYS

Since difficulty in swallowing & severe throat pain, use dispersible tablets & syrups. First do an IDL examination & r/o a laryngeal pathology. Take a throat swab for culture & sensivity. Since no fever, infective pathology unlikely. Rule out Sinusitis & GERD by meticulous history. Start appropriate antibiotic after C/S report.
