RED SKIN SYNDROME ( RSS)

32 years female, Redness over both cheeks and nose Since 4 months. Different topical applications are used. How to manage this side?

It's STEROID INDUCED REACTION... Called ...RED SKIN SYNDROME ( RSS) TREATMENT... Stop all topicals to minimise the sensitivity of the skin... Morning Sunscreen lotion Matt type to reduce the contact sensitivity... Tab Antihistamines daily one... Cap vit E and vit c ... daily... Cap doxycycline to minimise the infection on skin daily till releive the redness. Azelaic acid night 1 hr daily to reduce the irritation... Weekly once desensitization masks for 1 hr on the face...

This appears to be originally a c/o melasma and developed irritant contact dermititis due to application of isotrentoin ointments or keratolytics Now only eumosone oint twice daily and let lesions to heal to take further step Moisturisers may be suggested

This is Topical steroids damaged face ... RESPECTED SIR...IN MY VIEW ....I can manage this condition by Starting spf 50 with good sun protection... Stopping topical steroids... Topical application of antibiotics.. Tacrolimus once daily..and then bd.. Good non comedogenic moisturizer.. Oral antioxidant with vit c ...

Acne Rosacea , Rosacea Suggested gentle handling if face Moisturizers and emollients. Sunscreen lotion Doxycycline 100 mg is for one month Isotretenoin 10 mg OD for one month Vitamin E

Contact dermatitis advice stop all topicals ; use calamine lotion ; systemic anti-inflammatory

Aloe vera gel with calaminel twice a day for 1 hour, sun screen twice a day, metrogyl gel in evening to be applied for 2-3 hours, face to be clean with Cetaphil cleansing lotion

?SLE (butterfly rash)
