Redness with pruritus

38yr male presented with Multiple skin lesions with redness and itching. No other comorbidity present. Discuss about dx and tx which helps undergraduate students.

Check his HBA1C. Carbuncles. Carbuncles form when one or more hair follicles get infected. They often occur on the back of the neck, shoulders or thighs. usually develops when Staphlococcus aureus bacteria enter your hair follicles.. Antibiotics...... Pain relievers......Antibacterial soaps.... Avoid squeezing boils or rubbing any broken skin.

Red skin lesions are inflammatory Folliculitis /furunkulitis Check bsl Broadspectrum antibiotics like amoxyclav625mg 1bd Tab clindamycin 300mg 1bd Antiinflamatory Mupirocin oint twice daily

Again check for diabetes Do RBS . Patient might not give correct history. If multiple, give oral antibiotics, empirically with amoclxicillin 625mg BD. Warm compressors advised .
