It is tinea versicolor... also known as pityriasis versicolor... there is infection in form of macule... papules patches and scales of varying pigmentation... most commonly seen on seborrheic distribution... mainly on upper trunk .. arms... neck and face... young adults and teenagers r effected more by it bcoz of increased sebaceous gland activity... don't worry....IT IS NOT CONTAGIOUS.. factors meditating its development r heat.. humidity.. immune suppression... or teenagers with oily skin...and this acts as exciting or maintaining cause so nothing to worry in it... just remove the exciting or maintaining cause...
