Diabetic infected ulcer post traumatic. Uncontrolled DM - Achieve strict glycemic control with insulin. Start parenteral antibiotics inj Cetriaxone 1 GM + sulbactum 500 mg B.D for 7 days followed by oral cefuroxime 500 mg + clavulanic acid 125 mg B.D for another week. Dressings with betadine lotion cleaning and mupirocin ointment. Diabetic foot care Treatment of associated diabetic neuropathy and PVD required if any

Post traumatic cellulitis with type 2 DM, probably uncontrolled. Pus for CS,HBA1C,RFT,CBC. Broad-spectrum antibiotics, analgesic, Anti-inflammatory,PPI,ASD, Antibiotic dressing. Peoper wound care. Control of DM. PCM for fever SOS. May switch over Antibiotics after getting culture report. Better to start Human Insulin.

Antibiotics,analgesics. Start soluble short acting insulin 4units to start with 4th hourly SC .Adjust insulin on blood sugar levels . Get urine for ketone bodies and Sugar . Trivial infection in a stable Diabetic can turn to ketoacidosis . If she goes for abscess incision &drainage .

Ulcer in this area heal very gradually So with healthy granulation AK pop slab with rocker will be the better option , the patient being uncontrolled Glycemic levels.Adding small doses of insulin will facilitate heallig faster

In order to relieve her out of this Cellulitis, Her Blood Sugar levels should be controlled first Madam.. May I know the drugs she is using now for Diabetes??

XYMOHEAL OD for 5days Along with Leg End elevation Daily cleaning with Betadine Advise your Patient to decrease her Carbohydrate intake Advise her to increase the Fibre content in foods Ask your Patient not to add Sugar in any Food materials..
