More than 6 anterior or 10 posterior ribs in the mid-clavicular line at the lung diaphragm level. It is suggestive of sequelae of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Fever with productive cough indicates superadded infection

As brochials seem to be permanentlly dilated its case of Bronchiectesis. Chest x-rays are usually abnormal but are inadequate in the diagnosis or quantification of bronchiectasis. Tram-track opacities are seen in cylindrical bronchiectasis, and air-fluid levels may be seen in cystic bronchiectasis.
