Endometrial calcification- significance?

A 37 years old female with a single child 3 years old .Thereafter she is having menstrual irregularities .But now she wants to conceive. Her Ultrasound abdomen shows a 5.4 mm sub - endometrial calcification. Any significance of this finding considering her menstrual irregularities and her decision to conceive

Endometrial calcification; uncommon cause of sterility, may be due to retained products of conception or as osseous metaplasia. Previous uterine trauma during instrumentation and/ or uterine infection are likely involved in their pathogenesis Requires currattage or hysteroscopic surgery

First HSG is to be done to see tubal patency Vaginal usg will be more informative D&C to confirm endometrium is healthy Likely cause for subendometrial calcification areto be verified GUT tuberculosis Healed scar of old injury Instrumental injury in last delivery Harmonal study

Uterine Infection or previous trauma can contribute in pathonogesis ( calcification endometrial ) Needs further investigation and evaluation to conclude and treatment plan. D&C after USG or CT conclusion.

I am of the opinion she should under go D & C first.. Anf cbeck for all reproductive hormones on scgeduled days of onset of period.. Check fir ant uterine griwth thru USG. Than suggest accordingly.
