My mother,45 yr old suffering from pain, numbness and swelling in both hand and feet for 2 yrs.she can perform all day to day activities,no problem with functioning, only complain of morning stiffness which resolve as she starts working.only pain is a problematic factor. firstly she has been given calcium and vitamin D supplements, but no improvement occurred. then on lipid profile elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, other reports were normal hence atorvastatin was prescribed with calcium and multivitamin supplement. now cholesterol is under control, but complain of pain, numbness and swelling is still there. then we visited another doctor,he suspected it to be rheumatoid arthritis, but all test are normal including uric acid.still he prescribed hydroxychloroquine, but after 1 month course no improvement.your opinion plz
