57/Female, Recd Pleural Fluid for Cytology, Cytofuge Smears prepared. Possibility of Neoplastic lesion /underlying Malignancy to be ruled out. Reported on CT. Many Reactive Mesothelial cells, Lymphocytes, Multinucleated giant cells, Foci of mitosis seen Probable diagnosis? Benign or Malignant?

Cell rich picture. Plasma cell and plasmacytoid cell rich inflammatory population.. sone binuclear and multinucleated giant cells(? Floating tubercles)... Many reactive mesothelial cells. Few larger atypical cells with enlarged chromatic nucleus.. but regular nuclear contour.. and nonvacuolated basophilic cytoplasm. Dd. Plasma cell disorder Plasmacytoid NHL KOCH'S LESION Reactive mesothelial cells. Neoplastic cells. Sug. Cell block prep Ck 6/7.. calretinin.. napsinA Ct thorax cbnaat.
