OA,ARTHROPATHY

65 year old male c/o pain and swelling rt.knee since 3months.no h/o trauma or fever. O/E walking with stick support. Rt.suprapatellar region fluffy and tender,with medial side of knee tender.local temperature not raised.skin creases partially lost on Affected side.kindly suggest empirical therapy,and approach to Diagnosis. Thanks.

Right knee effusion Severe periarticular osteoporosis Rule out tuberculus arthritis MRI evaluation Followed by synovial fluid analysis Synovial biopsy if not conclusive CBC esr
