Eye Twitching

A 30yrs female complains of intermittent involuntary twitching of right lower eyelids since few weeks... no watering, redness, itching of eyes or vision problem or any signs of inflammation. no history of trauma. Treatment pls.

Usually in these young female people ask about stress,post traumatic history, sleep. Hypocalcemia is also one condition commonly associated.

THANKS FOR THE NICE UPDATE SINCE THE EYE TWITCHING IS SINCE FEW WEEKS IT CAN NOT BE ANY SORT OF HABBIT NOR IT FITS IN ANY SORT OF INFLAMMATORY OR ALLERGIC OPHTHALMIC DISIRDER ONE HAS YO EXCLUDE ANY REF ERROR.IN THIS PATIENT WHICH MAY POSSIBLY BE THE CAUSE
This is myokymia meaning twitching of muscle fibres of orbicularis oculi surrounding both lids. This often follows ill use of eyes, eye fatigue , bad illumination etc. Check up of refraction is essential and proper glasses should be prescribed
