Provisional clinical diagnosis: Oral candidiasis (probably side effect of Azithromycin) Gastrointestinal Side Effects of Azithromycin 1. Very common (10% or more): Diarrhea (up to 52.8%), nausea (up to 32.6%), abdominal pain (up to 32.2%), loose stools (up to 19.1%), flatulence (up to 10.7%) Common (1% to 10%): Vomiting, dyspepsia, stomatitis 2. Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Gastroenteritis, oral candidiasis, constipation, dysphagia/oral dysphagia, abdominal distension, dry mouth, eructation, mouth ulceration, salivary hypersecretion 3. Frequency not reported: Pseudomembranous colitis, pancreatitis, tongue discoloration, melena, enteritis, abnormal stools, gastrointestinal disorder Postmarketing reports: Pyloric stenosis One of the uncommon side effects of Azithromycin reported as Oral candidiasis.

Find out present condition of the patient for general health disease ..... rule out diabetes.... if a patient is diabetic and if antibiotics are given then suspect fungus growth.... so as moniliasis..... so advise the patient to take terbenifine hydrochloride twice a day for 5 days with adult dose and becosules - z ..... B complex vitamin with zinc restore immunity.... Put becosules z for 15 days twice a day 10 min before major meals ....
