Personality vs mood disorder

A 30 year old female moderately built and nourished 5feet 5 inches , 55kg Chief Complaints Brought by family members with abrupt episodes of complete change in behavior,dressing sense and accent which lasts for 5-7 days. During the episodes she started referring herself with another name and went furious on inquiring about her whereabouts. The changes in her routine activities were eminent and opposite to her prior lifestyle. On interviewing the patient she mentioned not to have any recollection of her activities during such episodes and rather she feels guilty about the same. She doesn't have history of substance abuse. However her father had history of chronic alcoholism. No family history of mood disorders and schizophrenia. Patient had history of childhood adversities and abuse. Split Personality or Dissociative Idenitity disorder with complete personality dissociation. Yes CBT and antipsychotics

She is a case of Dissociative Syndrome. Needs only low dose tranquillizer & suggestive therapy.
