Hyperacidity and constipation are two sides of same coin, or two ends of same stick Constipation is caused by decreased intestinal movement, in the same manner decreased movement of stomach and incomplete clearance of bowel causes good to stay in stomach for long time, Accumulation of food in stomach causes increased acidity Therefore, treatment of acidity without treatment of constipation will lead to incomplete or no response to treatment I usually use motility agent in addition to proton pump inhibitors for treatment of such a condition, usually with good result Adv C. Esoz D 40 mg (Combination of esomeprazole + Domperidone) once daily Tablet Itopride 50 mg one tablet three times a day Huskolax - Isapgol powder - 3 TSP twice a day Cremaffin syrup - 3 TSP at night time
