A 37 yrs female came in opd c/o swelling below both eyes and h/o taken tablet augumentin since 15 days.
Get urine routine done for proteinuria, send 24 hr urine protein and urine protein creatinine ratio. Is abdomen and kub. Send ana by Elisa, albumin levels, esr, CBC for anaemia,viral markers, lipid and thyroid profile. Look for anaemia, pedal edema, j.v.p and b.p. rule out nephrotic syndrome, lupus nephritis, hiv related FSGS, etc.
Looks like Allergic edema both lids both eyes, look for renal cause also
It may be glomerulonephritis. Take h/o urti. Psgn and iga nephropathy may be possibility. Gross hematuria can occur in igA NEPHROPATHY. TAKING DETAILED HISTROY IS MUST
Allergic periorbital edema..
Allergic lid edema.
LOOKS LIKE SUB ACTE ALLERGIC ODEMA LIDS
Evaluate with tft,rest more history will be helpful to find cause

30yrs old male patient in our nephro ward jj hospital, patient had b/l pedal edema, low back pain radiating to foots, systolic bp always below 100mmhg Investigation creatine- borderline high ANA- positive dsDNA- positive C3 ,C4- decreased 24hrs urine protein- 1 GM usg- normal kidney sizes URM- had UTI but now resolved Renal biopsy done - sample send for LM, IF, EM reports awaited we start tab Prednisone and tab MMF we are suspecting as case of glomerulonephritis, what further treatment will require ??, because his edema is not resolved..
