Alcohol withdrawal syndrome?

A 45 year male,chronic alcoholic,hyperlipidemic,physically fit,nondiabetic, nonhypertensive PT stoped alcohol for 3 days.Suddenly he feel palpitation,dry mouth and a mild tingling sensation nape of his neck. At that time his BP was 150/100 pulse 125. Now his BP 144/96,pulse 110. Alcohol withdrawal syndrome?Please DX & Rx.

1.Ask him to take good food. 2.Give him thiamine supplement tablets or a shot of IM injection. 3.For autonomic and mild psychomotor symptoms , for hypertension give T.chlordiazepoxide (LIBRIUM) Day 1: 50 mg every 6 to 12 hours; Day 2: 25 mg every 6 hours; Day 3: 25 mg twice a day; Day 4: 25 mg at bedtime. This gives relief from mild withdrawal. 4.PPI for any gastritis if needed.
