Glucoma.. Close angel.. Its a group of eye conditions that can cause blindness. With all types of glaucoma, the nerve connecting the eye to the brain is damaged, usually due to high eye pressure. In most cases, glaucoma is caused by higher-than-normal pressure inside the eye — a condition called ocular hypertension. or "IOP" — is normal. In most types of glaucoma, optic nerve damage and vision loss occurs because the pressure inside the eye (IOP) is too high.

Acute congestive glaucoma. Rx : Liq. Glycerol orally stat. Tab. Acetazolamide 500mg stat. Pilocarpine e/drops stat. Timolol e/drops stat . Steroid with antibiotics e/drops qds for 1 week only.

Acute congestive glaucoma Treat with frequent instillation of 2% pilocarpine, 250mg tabs of acetazolamide TDS after meals for about 5 days along with potassium syrup + dorzolamide eye drops thrice daily Perhaps this treatment will bring down IOP
