Amyands hernia is a type of inguinal hernia where the inguinal sac contains appendix.it is rare and incidence is less than one percent. Having amyands hernia on the left side is very rare.the significance of knowing this type of hernia is important since the clinical presentation is confusing.presenting as hernia but behaving like appendices.this type of hernia occurs in mobile caecum.

I had the opportunity to operate in one elderly lady presented with Bilateral inguinal herniae with RT side sac containing appendix, patient recovered fully after the surgery,appendicectomy was done in the inguinal canal.
