Radial nerve palacy This nerve controls movement and sensation in the arm and hand and extension of the elbow, wrist and fingers. Radial nerve palsy is a condition that affects the radial nerve and if damage to this nerve occurs, weakness, numbness and an inability to control the muscles served by this nerve may result.. A supportive splint at either the wrist or elbow to help prevent further injury and relieve the symptoms. You may need to wear it all day and night, or only at night. Wrist drop can be prevented. depending on the nature and extent of the injury to the radial nerve.
