A urachal cyst is a sinus remaining from the allantois during embryogenesis. It is a cyst which occurs in the remnants between the umbilicus and bladder. This is a type of cyst occurring in a persistent portion of the urachus, presenting as an extraperitoneal mass in the umbilical region. Urachal cysts may be monitored, or they may be treated with surgery to drain the cyst and/or remove the urachus

A primitive structure that connects the umbilical cord to the bladder in the developing baby is called as urachus A cyst developed in urachus is called as Urachal cyst So it is a congenital anomaly which is present from Birth But Usually patients are asymptomatic They become symptomatic when it gets infected Treatment is surgical excision
Thank you so much respected sir

REALLY TYPICAL CASE.....SIR I KNOW YOU CAN HANDLE THIS CASE BUT YOU SHOULD TAKE SUGGESTIONS BY GENERAL SURGEON UMBILICAL HERNIA I SAW BUT FIRST TIME I SAW URACHAL CYST.
URACHAL CYST MAY BE MONITORED AND URINARY FUNCTIONS MUST BE INVESTIGATED AND EVALUATED BEFORE GOING FOR SURGICAL INTERVENTION TO DRAIN THE CYST OR ITS REMOVABLE.
