Acute exacerbation of asthma case
Chief Complaint A 9 years old male child with h/o asthma complaints of wheezing and throat soreness. He was on inhaler which is not very effective. So started taking oral corticosteroids, still he complains severe exacerbations every month. Vitals BP: 100/65 mmhg, Heart rate 85, Resp rate: 25, SpO2 97% Child's weight is 30.2 Kg Examination Physical examination including cardiac and abdominal exam is normal. Investigation FVC: 2.15 L (104%) FEV1: 1.25 L (69%) FEV1/FVC: 57% Treatment Please advise your opinion.
Give salbutamol inhaler with spacer and mask 1puff 4times daily for 3 days Budecort 200micro gm inhaler with spacer and mask 1puff twice daily for 3months Tab montelukast5mg 1tab once daily for3months
NEED'S.. BRONCODILATORS..MUCOLYTICS .. LEVOCETIRIZINE +MONTELUCAST.. DEFLAZACORT..SOS.. BUDAMATE NEBULIZATION.. BREATHING EXERCISES.. PULMONOLOGIST OPINION..
Add. Corticosteroid in Salbutamol in nabulizer.. 3 times a day. Zifi 100 mg tab twice a day.x 5 days
Mixed obstruction with restriction on PFT. Adv ICS LABA combination. Mucolytics Montelukast Breathing exercise.

Give rotahaler for salbutamol and budicort Syp ventroline Syp L montus
