Adrenal gland
The adrenal gland Also Known as suprarenal gland are Endocrine gland that produce a variety of hormones Including adrenaline and the steroids aldosterone and Cortisol . They are Found Above the Kidneys . Each Gland has an Outer cortex Which produces steroid hormones and an Inner medulla. The adrenal cortex itself is divide into three main Zones , the zona Glomerulosa , zona Fasciculata , zona Reticularis . The adrenal glands are located on the Both sides of the body in the Kidneys, retroperitoneum , above and slightly medial to the Kidneys . In Humans the right adrenal gland is pyramidal in Shape whereas the left is semilunar or crescent shaped, and somewhat larger. The adrenal gland measure approximately 3cm in width , 5cm in length, and up to 1.0 cm in thickness, their combine weight in Adult human ranges From 7 to 10 grams . The glands are yellowish in Colour .

Patient presented in the OPD with these lesions over whole body. Lesions are painless,non tender,from last 30 yrs gradually increased in size from last 10 yrs.. Took Rx from some hospitals but not relieved. He is a K/C/O Ulcerative Colitis from past 6 yrs, on medication Mesacol OD 1.2 gm OD. He is a K/C/O BPH Grade 2 and on Urimax-D from past 4 months. Is it Xanthoma with Xanthelesma? ?Lipoma. What are the differential diagnosis for the lesions and Treatment??

64 year old male with a H/o T2DM newly diagnosed on Metformin sustained release 500mg BD presented with pruritic lesions over the neck, trunk and left hand, pruritic in nature, followed by scratching. The lesions increase on scratching. BP: 130/90mm Hg RBS: 234mg/dl
