AGE 64M C/O PAIN THIRD METACARPOPHALANGEAL JOINT WITH SWELLING. PAIN AGGRAVATES WITH MOVEMENTS. ATTACHED IS THE X RAY SCAN. PLEASE COMMENT ANY FINDINGS AND FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS.

It's a single joint of upper limb .it all could be tendonitis .Better to rule out crystal deposition. X ray normal. Get USG of this joint .

X ray normal apart from evidence of osteoporosis. Differential diagnosis. Tensosynovitis Arthopathies like rheumatoid or other sero negative arthopathies. Do Esr CRP ,RA factor Give analgesic Calcium supplements with vitamin D 3 hot water formentation and local gel application. Further management based on reports.

Right 3rd mcp joint seems to be dislocated in the oblique view.
