Itching on Head, Hair loss Chief Complaints No fever, no head ache, Vital are normal Severe itching on Head History No family history of hair loss, she has been used medication prescribed by Dermatologist. But pts complaints no improvement. Vitals Normal Physical Examination Sudden hair loss, more circular bald patches Investigations Hb- 9 % Thyroid normal Diagnosis Alopecia Management Given, Terbinafine tabs for 7 days and ketakonazole soap, Citrizen + monteluxast, anti dandroffs sampoos, ...etc Kindly suggest for there evaluation Dx or Rx

Age??no improvements from dermatologist bcz... Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder. bald patch..hair loss will continue.. even spontaneous growth occured due to any treatment, relapses r more times likely.. all medications r temporary trial.. not much evidence data of cure available. Montelukast has no role to play. go for scalp biopsy and dermascopy examination.
