Anterior neck swelling

A 16-year-old female presents with Anterior Neck swelling. Noticed this swelling 4weeks back and it progressively increases overtime associated with irregular menses, anxiety, and occasional awareness of her heartbeat. She denies all obstructive symptoms Local USS: lipoma Currently waiting for results on renal, live and troponin rest. Please give your suggestions.

Anterior midline swelling . D/D Goiter of thyroid isthmus and pyramidal lobe Lipoma, Dermoid cyst Thyroglossal cyst . Hyperthyroid nodule . Although USG suggests- Lipoma , a F.NAC is,needed to confirm the Diagnosis. If it is lipoma,- surgical excision indicated. Her symptoms of anxiety, awareness of heart beat , irregular menses are in favour of a hyperthyroid nodule or hot nodule . A thyroid profile T3, T4 and TSH should be done . I think it must be lipoma with anxiety neurosis. Etizolam 0.25 mg B.D can help

Swelling seen is in midline on anterior surface of neck just look does it moves with swallowing as it appears to throid swelling GOITRE May be lipoma as you said but unlikely to move with swallowing Confirm by fnac

Thyroglossal Cyst Needs further investigation and evaluation to conclude that treatment plan. USG, thyroid profile and FNAC .

Thyroiditis with Hypothyroidism ( Possibly). Blood for T3 T4 TSH Anti TPO antibody. USG of Thyroid. FNAC from Thyroid.

When inflamation at thyroid carteledges is primaryly apoearent...i think medical intervention to start with Thyroid Profile & Anti TPO3.. Than one can proceed for authantic line of treatment.

Seems to be a case of thyroid swelling may be Goitre Thyroglossal cyst USG. to confirm Thyroid function test FT3, FT4 and TSH. FNAC

Swelling in region of thyroid ? Thyroid nodule ? Lipoma Adv Sonography FNAC Thyroid function test

Goitre/? Hyperthyroidism. Advised TFT,Antibody titres.
