Antibiotic of choice in 5 yr female with symptoms of UTI?
previous it was trimithoprim sulfmethoxazole . syp septran .nitrofurantoin in uncomplicated cases . n most uti are resistant to cephalosporins these days . make a habit of sending urine c/s first . my choice is azithromycin a much safer alternative
NEED'S.. OFLOXACIN ..
Get C/S of urine after results of reports start treatment
CBC , Urine routine examination reports are req. for severity of infection, and after that, choose a antibiotics generally, Ofloxacin advisable
Levofloxacin
Cefixime
Ofloxacin. Septran . Norfloxacin.
Urifer sr 1/2 BD Alkasol syrup 5ml BD
Cefuroxime
