Eye injury

A 42-year-old male presented with eye injury with the metal piece. What is the significance of a metal foreign body in the eye, what constitutes the ring surrounding it, and how should it be removed and treated?

iron foreign body will start forming a rust ring after four to six hours of being lodged in the cornea. Looking through a slit lamp, approach the corneal at an oblique or tangential angle to avoid corneal perforation. Engage the FB at its edge and loosen it up. After removal of a metallic foreign body, there might be a brownish-orange rust ring remaining. It can be lifted with a needle or jeweler’s forceps. The Alger brush is used in most cases to remove the rust ring. The goal is to remove as much of the rust as possible safely without causing too much tissue disruption or corneal perforation.
Impacted foreign body on cornea Needs careful removal with foreign body spud preferably under slit lamp illumination. One should better leave the stain as it is rather than trying to remove even very carefully landing into inadvertent corneal perforation. Post removal treatment consists of atropine and antibiotic
Evidently seen metalic f b imbaded in cornea is iron needs to remove under slit lamp by magnetic f b needle Rest of debri to be clear as much as possible as healing may lead to corneal opcity

Common metallic fb superficial cornea, encountered commonly during weilding work or lath work without wearing ppe, in this case it can be easily removed either in a slit lamp in sitting position or for uncooperative patients in supine position using lid speculum under microscope topically using proparacaine 0.5 %, Fresh fb do not leave rust before 4 hours , after that it leaves encircling ring of rust, which can be removed by tangential force just beneath rust, also can be scrapped if lies away from visual axis, alger brush can be used rarely if scattered rust is present, Post removal pt is treated with antibiotics , lubricants and occassionaly cycloplegics for atleast 1 weeks....
It is a small metallic foreign body on the cornea .We cal remove it with a a small needle or foreign body spud after putting local anaesthesia. We have to put antibiotic ointment a d advice frequent application of antibiotic drops after removal. If not removed it can@ lead to infection . The ring around the foreign body is due to slight dispersion of the metal particle.
WHEN WE LOOK AT THIS PICTURE EITH A INJURY WITH A METALLIC F BODY IT IS AN IMPACTED METALLIC F BODY AT 3 OCULO PODITION METALIC FB IS STERILE THE RING SUROUNDING THE FBBOFY IS KNOWN AS RUST RING F BODY CAN BE REMOVED ON S LAMP UNDER TOPICAL SURFACE ANESTHESIA ONE SHOULD NOT HO DEEP TO REMOVE RUST RING IT CAN BE LEFT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM
