CHEST WALL AVM

A 16 yrs old male having long standing painful gradually increasing swelling in right anterolateral chest wall. The swelling is compressible deep tenderness present and FNAC have blood aspirate. CECT thorax plates are attached. suggest provisional and differential diagnosis.

It was arteriovenous malformation the feeder arterial component was from subscapular and intercostal arteries with calcification of venous channels. Which was painful on compression. Did the excision successfully and histopath confirmed the provisional diagnosis.

Causes of compressible swelling of ant latrleral chest wall and this may be case of Infective abscess a confined pocket of pus that collects in tissues, organs or tissue spaces characterised bypain and swelling and tenderness D/D A. Tietze syndrome characterised by painful swelling of the joint that connect the ribs with breastbone that is sternum B Coctochondritis inflammation of the cartilages that connect a ribs with sternum D Benign tumour E. Mslignant tumour.

Remarks The swelling is compressible and long standing and tenderness may be misleading or owing to some other reasons.

Other diagnosis in D/D infective abscess, Malignant Timor ,lipoma Treatment is Excision of the tumours after lighting feeding vessels Send for Histopatholigical exam to come
Sepsis. Get it investigated for C/S anx follow accordingly.. Good radio images investigation have been initiated but no history posted about any pathological investigations....
