Cluster breathing..... Also known as Biot's respirations, cluster breathing is characterized by groups, or clusters, of rapid, shallow breathing. This is followed by periods of apnea. Cluster breathing may occur with nonbrainstem lesions.

CONCLUSION: Cluster breathing a disorderly sequence of breaths with irregular pauses between the breaths,may result from damage to the lower pons or upper MEDULLA.
Cluster of breaths which follow after irregular or regular Apnea seen in brain stem lessons usually MRI.
