Breast Cancer - Management
Breast cancer treatment may be local or systemic. Local treatments are used to remove, destroy, or control the cancer cells in a specific area whereas systemic treatments are used to destroy or control cancer cells all over the body. The choice of treatment depends on tumor and patient characteristics. A patient may have just one form of treatment or a combination, depending on her individual diagnosis.

36 year old lady came to me after a screening mammogram which she got done herself because her sister (39 years) was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. O/e - 1*1 cm lump was palpable in the right breast at 11 o clock. No other lump or enlarged LN. No nipple discharge. Points for discussion: 1. Discuss mammogram findings 2. Would you order a MRI for this patient
