Buccal squamous cell carcinoma ,detected at my OPD.Simple pen torch light is the gadget that helped to diagnose the case. She was referred to higher institution for further management . Discus the case.
Mostly such patients are tobacco chewers - tobacco pouch cancers . Diagnosis is delayed because often pain in not significant. Needs biopsy to prove diagnosis followed by surgery , chemo radiotherapy.

??Carcinoma of Buccal mucosa. Mostly squamous cell carcinoma,rarely adenocarcinoma from salivary glands of Buccal mucosa. Needs evaluation using... Wedge biopsy, CT scan for neck lymphnodes, bony infiltration, MRI is best for muscle invasion,nerve infiltration. Treatment depends upon the size &depth of invasion.

Case of Squamous cell carcinoma of buccal mucosa. Advice ,1.CBC 2. Blood sugar F/R/PP .3.FNAC 4.Electrolyte Na/K . Treatment ,1. Cap.Phexin -500 mg ,BD for 7 days. 2.Gel -Kenacort , apply Thrice daily. 3. Tab.Kenacort ,SOS for 7 days. 4.Cap.Cobadex -forte ,OD at night for 2 week.
Carcinoma of right buccal mucosa, probably squamous cell. Check for neck nodes Biopsy, CECT neck, CXR-PA, USG abdomen for staging If no distant metastasis- surgery if feasible- wide excision+ reconstruction + MRND If surgery is not feasible chemo radiation followed by surgery or now-adjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery- should be decided by team of oncologists
