Adverse effect following immunization

1.5 month baby with history of redness and swelling at DPT vaccine site on lat aspect of thigh. Cried on touch, feeding well. at 3.5 kg. plz guide

Sometimes , it’s cellular swelling due to Pertussis component, If it persist &If fever occurs Rx Amoxiclav 30 mg/kg can be given

SUGGESTIVE. Of.. ADVISABLE... COLD. COMPRESSION... P. C. M... AND MANAGEMENT. ACCORDINGLY.... IF. SO...REQUIRED
Very common problem after dpt vaccination. Cold compress and pcm is all that is required.
Cold fomentation Calpol drops Check for cellulitis, If necessary give Amoxyclav drops
It's very common Adv Oral paracetamol as per weight of baby
Icepacks Paracetamol syp Look for cellulitis signs

It common after dpt vaccination . Specially pertussis component. See if theres abscess or cellulitis formation . Give paracetamol round the clock. If u have a pic post it here.
Minor post injection inflammation. Mostly self limiting. If Fever PCM can be given for 1-2 days. Iceing in local swollen area onceor twice a day.
It's very common after DPT vaccination ....just have to apply ice packs at the injection site and paracetamol syrup for fever and pain relief
