World immunization week and interventional year of nurses

Today 25 th April is second day of world immunization week (24 th - April - 30th April) . World wide WHO is conducting awareness campaign regarding immunization. In continuation of my earlier post- COVID- 19 pandemic- causes extra - burden on health care workers to successfully launch the immunization programmes amidst attempts to find out vaccine against COVID- 19. Also National infanti immunization week is also launched from today (25 April to 2 May 2020) .It highlights the importance of protecting children 2 years and younger from vaccine preventable diseases ( VPDs ) It also is a time to showcase the Achievement of immunization programmes and their partners in promoting healthy communities. Given that WHO has designated 2020 as the international year of the Nurse and midwife, WHO will highlight nurses and midwives for their crucial role as,early vaccine champions for new parents and parents to be THANKS
