Aminoglycosides are said to be most sensitive drugs for gram positive as well as negative such as cephalaxine But important is MIC which is available at higher doses and since half life is very low hence required frequent administration hence now a days marketing of sustained release in doses of od or bd are compermising the half life and mic values After reading the life threatening complications stated in this presentation clinician should be cautious in using unless well indicated and that too in right doses
