Chronic arthritis of carpometacarpal joint

Chief complaint A 68 y/o female presents with severe pain due to chronic arthritis in her carpometacarpal joint. Examination This joint is very painful. Patient refers the pain as 8 out 10. Movements are restricted in joint (only 15º rotation) The area over the joint is hot & swollen and tender to touch. Treatment What should be advised?

It may be infective,however analgesic, pantoprazole may be added and advice to do the uric acid level alongwith Ap,LAT View of the sole required
