Could it be tuberculosis

Chief Complaint A 35 y/o female presented with fatigue & weight loss. History H/o pleural effusion, ascites, and a right adnexal mass. Vitals Vitals are WNL. Investigations CA-125 level was 215 u/ml. Laparoscopy shows a few diffuse peritoneal nodules. 68 ml of straw-colored fluid was identified in the right pelvis. The fluid is submitted for examination. Diagnosis Could it be tuberculosis?

Right adnexal mass biopsy may give confirmatory diagnosis Having said that, tuberculosis is known to produce adnexal mass and it is known to have raised CA 125

Yes possibility can't be ruled out. Biopsy HPE WOULD BE GOLD STANDARD TEST.

Biopsy of the adnexal mass, and cytology of ascitic aspirate suggested and PETCT suggessted. DD Ovarian carcinoma Tuberculosis Meig's syndrome Kruckenberg syndrome

Biopsy HPE would be GOLD standard

TUBERCULOSIS Indukantha Kashaya+Dasamula Katuraya Kashaya Chyavanaprash will be of use

NEED'S.. HISTOPATHOLOGICAL STUDY..

Yes possible,as high levels of CA.125 are also seen in extrapul TB.Adenexal biopsy will confirm the diagnosis.
