COVID Management in Children - Rule of 3

It is well documented that children are less commonly affected with COVID-19 infection, and a majority of them are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic. A small proportion (<10%- 20%) of symptomatic children may need hospitalization and 1% to 3% of symptomatic children may have severe illness requiring intensive care admission. In light of the experts warning of a 3rd wave, many governments have set up special pediatric COVID wards. Please share your insights on COVID-19 in children.....

Fantastic presentation on Covid-19 in Children! There are 3 rules for Covid management in children. All the points are clearly stating the step to step pattern of severity in Covid-19 disease along with the levels of progression of the disease and it's treatment, investigation and prognosis. The symptomatic and asymptomatic pattern of Covid-19 in children is well-explained and how it can go from mild to serious with any constant changes is a thing to be well observed and remembered in all age groups under 18 i.e infant, toddler, pre-teens and teenager. The confusion over lactating mothers and breastfeeding has been cleared which doctors have been trying to promote since a long time. The risk of MIS-C is mentioned which is a think to remember.

Informative educative and updated Post for rule of 3 in children under the present circumstances covid pandemic useful.

Nice informative, educative and useful update on COVID-19 management in Children - Rule of 3. S/S, braest feeding advice, Lab tests and complications. - Kawasaki disease.

Covid management in children- rule of 3: Nice & significant presentation & everything explained clearly in simple way regarding Asymptomatic & Symptomatic ,diagnosis & management. Breast feeding shud not be stopped by mothers even in covid infected child.

Children less affected by covid Due to less no of ACE 2receptors, less entry of viruse ,innate immunity agains viruses, prompt response to interferon , Lesser aggressive hyper immune response, less cytokines storm, Nicely explained nice information

In third wave if everything according to the preventive measure ,it will go like simple flu but in children and pregnant mothers it is little bit difficult to predict the outcome.newborns should be protected from illness through vivid appropriate behaviour and in msi-s cases should treat according to the protocol.

Perfect presentation and it's very useful for everyone

NICE ILLUSTRATION BEFORE IT WAS BELIEVED THAT CHILDREN HAVE GOID IMMUNITY AND THEY MAY NOT GET COVID BUT NOW PROBABLY DUE TO MUTATION OF VIRUS WE DO GET COVID CASES IN CHILDREN ALSO SO WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL FOR CHILDREN ALSO

Very very important and educative and useful information for COVID 19 management in children. Thanks@Medi- Insights .
