It’s better if, der is detailed h/ like 1.whether it’s 1st episode or frequent 2.For how much time d attack lasted 3. Is der impaired of consciousness or not 4.after the episode child become completely normal or gone into sleep (post ictal period) 5. Is der any neurological defict after seizure The above h/differiantiates Simple febrile seizure to Paroxysmal cerebral Dysarthria(Epilepsy, which is recurrent disorder, unprovoked, altered sensorium which may be +ve or-ve) From the h/ it appears that child had Simple Febrile Convolusion ,Rx1Tepid sponge 2. Paracetamol 15 mg/kg /dose2.Frisium-5 mg 1/2 tab.bd 4.midazolam spray in each nostril or IM inj. 5.If der r more than 2-3 febrile seizure in the same DAY or if it last for> than 5MINUTES it is COMPLEX Ferrile Seizure &It has to be investigated like EEG,MRI Brain

A febrile seizure . It is a convulsion in a child caused by a spike in body temperature, often from an infection. They occur in young children with normal development without a history of neurologic symptoms. It can be frightening when your child has a febrile seizure, and the few minutes it lasts can seem like an eternity

Probable 1st episode of febrile fit. Check for family history of febrile fits. Exclude infection. Need EEG.Single episode ,no indication for regular antiepileptic med if the EEg is normal.
