72 y/o female stated that her tooth fell out when she was brushing. Largest calculus deposits I have ever seen. What further management would you suggest for this case.

All extraction under antibiotic coverage & mouthwash Hexidine & metrogyl DG gel for oral use & maintenance . Leave it to heal & plan for prosthetic replacements once the ridge & sockets are healed. Old PT hence a lot of counselling may b needed to convince for t/t plan & outcome discussing all pros & cons.

do total extraction under antibiotic coverage.. before treatment ask patient about Diabetic , hypertension or any systemic diseases... take physician consultation .. as 72yr old... then do Extraction & after healing give restoration as patient want....

Poor oral hyiegene and negligence by patient Need complete extraction because Calculous deposits is there with severe bone loss and mobility Need removable or fixed prosthesis as patient willing

If patient can afford go for implant supported denture as complete denture will have poor retention

Adv.Total extraction and before going for complete denture fabrication,go for preprosthetic surgery becoz the bone resorbtion is asymmetrical.
