TREATMENT PRINCIPAL OF JWARA
1. CONTRAINDICATIONS OF NAVA JWARA
Annna ( solid diet)
Vata(exposure to wind)
-Langhana contraindicated in,

Decrease the dosa
Subsides the Jwara
Lightness in the body
- Time duration of langhana
Langhana should not be pushed to the extent of impairing the patient's vitality as health is dependent on vitality and it is for the sake of health that all treatment is meant.
3. WATER IN JWARA
Trishna in vata kaphaja Jwara:- Ushna Jala
Paittika Jwara, madyottha Jwara:- Tikta siddha sita jala.
i.e. Sadanga paniya
Kapha pradhana :- Madanaphala + Pippali
Pitta pradhana:- Madanaphala + Indrayava
Pipasa + Daha:- Madanaphala + Yashtimadhu
Utklisha Dosa :- Ushnodaka + Saindhava
If Jwara is not subsided by other measures one should pacify it by Virechana if the patient has unimpaired strength, mamsa and agni.
Trivruta + Madhu + Ghrita
Triphala Kwatha + Madhu + Ghrita
Aragvadha + ksira
Draksa + ksiraab
Draksa + Amalaki swarasa
Trivruta + Ksira
INDICATIONS of Niruha Basti
Virechana and Vamana is not advisable in the case of a patient kshina with Jwara.
It is better to eliminate the morbid matter in such a patient by adequate intake of milk and Niruha Basti.

INDICATIONS of Anuvasana Basti
- In chronic Jwara when kapha and pitta have diminished.
- Good appetite
- Dry stool and constipation

Chandanadi Anuvasana Basti
Jivantyadi Anuvasana Basti
In jirna Jwara if there is heaviness and pain in head.
Impairment of senses.
8. Rakta mokshana
Jwara which does not subside by Shita ,ushna , Snigdha , Ruksha treatment and has entered into sakha is treated with Rakta mokshana.
Jwara having mild kapha and severe vata and pitta.
Paripaka (well digested ) dosa.
Jwara due to visarpa, trauma, and eruption and not kapha pitta predominant.
Ghrita which can be used are as follows
Vata:- Eranda moola siddha
pitta:- Panchmool siddha
Kapha:- Nagaradi siddha
11. Bahirmarga Jwara
The Physician should advise Abhyanga, Pradeha, Parisheka ,and Avagaha , cold or hot as necessary.
By these Jwara situated in external passage is pacified, organs get pleasure and strength and Complexion are promoted.
12. Treatment of Dwandwaja Jwara
Jwara caused by dual or aggravated dosa one should prescribe proper drugs considering their comparative predominance or quality.
13. Treatment of Sannipataja Jwara
The Sannipataja jwara should be treated by increasing the diminished dosas, decreasing the aggravated ones and keeping the condition of the location of kapha in view.
