Frequent loose stools...

A 11m/f .. came with complaints of loose stool-watery, nt foul smelling, yellowish decreased urine output.. having signs of some dehydration.. she has received diof (oflox, metro syp) by other doctor.. bt nt getting relief in our ipd we since 2 days have given iv fluids and orally enuff sachet plus syp fluora bc.. she has anal descoriation and irritability frequency of stool is not decreasing(10-15times per day after each feed-even after takin water also)... cbc- microcytic normochromic anemia stool- starch/fat-plenty pus cells-3-5hpf ph-7.5 please suggest further management..

Likely to be Viral Diarrhea. For diarrhea line of treatment is only IV fluids.. Counseling of parents is most important. Counsell them that viral diarrhoeas may last for even more than 7 days. So don't worry it will be controlled .. The main treatment is managing the dehydration..
