ROLE OF ASPIRIN IN PRIMARY PREVENTION IN DIABETES & HIGH RISK FOR CVD

Dear my friends and fellow Colleagues, Here is an update on ASPIRIN in the Primary Prevention. Aspirin 75-162 mg/day may be considered for primary prevention strategy in patients with 1) Diabetes & 2) High CV risk after evaluating benefits & risk. Primary prevention is possible in pre-diabetic patients(impaired fasting glucoseIFG/impaired glucose toleranceIGT) before the development of diabetes mellitus
