EROSION, caused by chemical irritants, leave the surface smooth and with GLOSSY/LUSTROUS appearance on the FACIAL & PALATAL surface. Evaluation: Related habits and exposure to acids. Clinical Significance:The pH value of citric acid (lemon) is reported to be 2.5. Because the critical point at which enamel dissolves is reported to be a pH of 5.0-5.7, citric acid can play a significant role in dental erosion. Most commonly involved tooth: 1)Max Central incisors (palatal / facial/ infidel edge) 2)Mandibular molars(Occlusal = Cupping or wear facet) 3) Mand. Lateral incisors Tt: 1)Habit cessation/ diet modification 2) Endodontic therapy/ Composite restoration/ Veneering
